Janid Suzak is an energetic-looking human of perhaps twenty years. He has achieved a degree of fame as a daring adventurer and skilled linguist, having acted as interpreter between two parties of orcs and dwarves and maintained a diplomatic peace for nearly five minutes. He wanders the lands tirelessly, always on the lookout for a new experience. It looks about seventeen dimins tall, five and a quarter dimins wide and one and three tenths dimins long. It is in good shape. It wields a steel spine dagger in its right hand and a double-bladed steel sword in its left hand. It wears a silvery-lacquered wooden amulet around its neck and a steel plate-and-mail halfsuit on its body.

Janid is the leader of the Crafty Linguists; if you would like to join, say 'I would like to join the Crafty Linguists'. If you change your mind later, say 'I would like to leave the Crafty Linguists'. Janid's limbs are named head, chest, right arm, left arm, right hand, left hand, right leg, left leg, right foot and left foot. Janid is an instructor and responds to the following verbal commands:

   Availability inquiry: Janid, what do you teach?
   Cost inquiry:         Janid, what would a lesson in <subject> cost?
   Instruction request:  Janid, teach me <subject(s)>.
