Situational awareness is a perceptual state in which one holds in one's mind an acutely detailed model of one's surroundings and the
activities taking place in them, enabling one to perform feats of foresight and precision that would be impossible otherwise, such
as parrying an arrow with a sword.  Individuals in meditative combat mode who have a combat meditation skill of at least 100 gain
situational awareness.
