The Aesir are the inhabitants of Asgard. They are a race of extraterrestrial beings similar to the human of the Prime. Odin created the Aesir in his own likeness, and in doing so he realized they needed their own realm or the balance of the Prime would be disturbed. Thus led him to create an entire plan of existence not directly connected to the Prime so his subjects would exist peacefully, which became known as Asgard.
Asynjur live incredibly long lifespans, almost double that of the typical elder races. Because of this, Asynjur learn the slowest of all races known to exist. As a counter to their slow adaptation of the world around them, they are also one of the most powerful races to ever be observed in the realm.
Because of their segregation of to the rest of the universe, stories of their presence on the Prime becomes legend. Every aspect of their lives becomes celebrated, and their deaths being so infrequent that most believe it is impossible for an Aesir to truly die. They are most usually identified as gods, each having specific attributes associated with them.
The native language of an Aesir is Norska, with speculation that the language itself was gifted to the humans of Gardagh by one of the Aesir visiting the Prime.
