Feanor states, [ Ah, you are willing to aid me in my investigations? Excellent. I require raw materials for research into the nature of gems and the methods of their enchantment. To begin with, I will need eighteen ordinary gemstones, bearing no enchantments nor other esoteric energies, of which at least one is a chrysoprase or moonstone. Bring these directly to me and I will pay you handsomely for them. ] to you in flowingly-accented Sperethiel.

Feanor states, [ As my investigations proceed, new avenues of research open up. To continue my studies, I will need three ioun stones, of which at least one is a carnelian or eog. Aid me in this matter and you will be greatly rewarded indeed. ] to you in flowingly-accented Sperethiel.

Note: in each request the requirement for at least one to be a particular gem type is randomized.

Some possible places to search for gems: Shrieking Siren (ship) in Losthaven, Banir Lok, and Galvanar in Corna will have supplies of ordinary gems available. For iouns, notably Tirana in Ft. Shaantari, Veteran who wanders, Kalyxes in Shadow Tower and Dara in Temple of Discordia have iouns on them. Suggest an anti-magic field if possible to force iouns to drop or you will have to fight them for their iouns.
