The Show Command
The show command is a general facility used to display a variety of different information about your character. The basic syntax is usually either 'show <value>' or 'show <value> <argument>', and depends on the individual showable value. You can also combine multiple displays in a list; for example, 'show elude, stealth' or 'show level, experience needed and quest points'. If this is defeating your ability to include the word 'and' in a command, use '&' instead (this is specific to this command). One last option is 'show continuously <displays...>', which allows you to tell the system that you do not want your output to be split into pages. Help is available on each individual showable value; use 'help show <value>' for information.
The command 'report' is closely related to the show command, and is essentially a spoken version of the same functionality. One difference, however, is that various displays are considered out-of-character information, and these are not usable with the report command.
The displays you can use are listed below.
Lists of displays in particular groups are also available using the syntax 'help show <group>'. You can refer to a group by its full name or abbreviation; the groups are channel (chn), character (chr), combat (cmb), communication (com), esoteric (eso), informational (inf), interface (int), knowledge (kno), miscellaneous (mis), movement (mov), property (pro), rating (rtg), skill (ski), and social (soc). Further, 'help <group>' will retrieve a list of all settings, displays, and so on in the group.
